BulSU’s 119th Foundation Week kicks off


Bulacan State University celebrated its 119th foundation week this December 12-14 with a bang with the theme "Patuloy na Pagyabong sa Inklusibong Malasakit sa Komunidad at Kalikasan" at the Heroes Park.

The opening ceremony was attended by students and university professionals, with performances by the BulSU Symphonic Band and the BulSU HyperDynamics, followed by a march and flash mob from Heroes Park to Valencia Hall.

BulSU President Teody San Andres encourages everyone with his statement “Let us celebrate and feel the spirit of our university for this undertakings” in his speech in the Opening ceremony of BulSU’s 119th foundation week.

Aside from the booths and live bands, there were many things to look forward to during the foundation week: from car shows to freedom run, battle of the bands, and the Juan Concierto that brought in crowds of BulSUans.


In the battle of the bands, Freud 199 from College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) was the champion, Alab COED from College of Education (COED) took home the 1st runner up and our 2nd runner up was the CS Band from College of Science (CS).


For the finale of the foundation week, the Juan Concierto was held at the Heroes park where many BulSUans performed such as Eryc Pablo, JM Enriquez, Sining Sakbibi Ensemble, CBA Magnates, Joan Velasquez, BulSU Live Band, Try Band and the most awaited performance of Maki.

In addition, BulSU's Student Government President Arianna De Jesus and Matthew Silverio representing the ATIN ITO Coalition also gave a speeches of advocacy.

The Juan Concierto ended with a special guest performance by PPOP Band BILIB.
